About Invisalign®Glenlake Dental Care offers the Invisalign® clear aligners for straightening your smile. Unlike the heavy metal braces of the past, Invisalign® straightens teeth through a series of clear, nearly invisible, aligners customized for you. As your teeth slowly shift back into place, you are assigned a new aligner to facilitate the new movement as your smile evolves. Most patients will switch to a new aligner about every two weeks. There are no brackets glued to your teeth and no wires to tighten. As the straightening process is gradual with this system, there is much less pain as well. Aligners are so comfortable that most patients forget they are wearing them. They can be worn during most activities, including contact sports. Invisalign® treats many orthodontic conditions including underbite, overbite, gapped teeth, and overcrowded teeth. You will need to undergo an orthodontic examination to confirm that this is an option for you but there are very few cosmetic issues that cannot be solved by it.
Patients only remove the aligners when eating and brushing their teeth. Most patients wear their aligners 20 to 22 hours per day. Other than cleaning the aligners in the morning and before bed, the aligners require little maintenance. Visit our Glenview, Illinois office to see if this is an option for your cosmetic dental needs.
